Bellewstown Announce Race Bonus The Bellewstown Summer Festival which takes place on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of July will this year stage the richest race in its history when Fast Shipping Ireland will sponsor a €25,000 hurdle race on the Friday evening. Bellewstown Chairman Jim Corcoran said: “this is wonderful news, for owners and trainers and indeed punters alike. Every year the standard of racing at Bellewstown gets better and better, and this year will see further progress with thanks to Fast Shipping Ireland. The Bellewstown Race Committee would like to thank Mr. Simon Mulvany of Fast Shipping Ireland for his on-going support, he has been a longstanding supporter and patron of Bellewstown Races, and his sponsorship indicates a great confidence in Bellewstown and indeed Irish Racing.” Along with the prize fund for the race Fast Shipping Ireland will pay a further €25,000 bonus to the connections of the winner should that horse go on to win the following month's Galway Hurdle.
