Bertolini Filly Tops Another Great Day Of Trading At Goffs Tremendous trade continued throughout the fourth instalment of Goffs November Foal Sale, which saw total turnover reach ?5,629,700 - a 52% increase on the corresponding day last year. Average and median were also significantly higher than 2005, increasing by 47% and 22% respectively. It was Barnane Stud´s Bertolini filly who realised the highest price of the day when bought by Brian Grassick Bloodstock for ?130,000. Out of a winning Green Desert mare, the foal is a half sister to Il Cadetto, a recent Group 3 winner in Italy. Jeremy Brummitt was the purchaser of Lot 742, an Exceed And Excel half brother to six time winner and Group placed Irony. The foal, who was consigned by Barrettstown Farm House on behalf of John Doyle, sold for ?125,000. Paul Shanahan later went to ?120,000 for Airlie Stud´s good looking son of Danehill Dancer (Lot 911) out of the three time winning Kahyasi mare Veronica Cooper. The same amount was realised for Lot 927 from Belmont Stud, a colt from the first crop of Elusive City, who was purchased by Crone Stud. Peter Doyle Bloodstock signed for their fourteenth foal of the week when securing a Kheleyf colt from the family of The Tatling and Mtoto for ?108,000. The colt was consigned by Ringfort Stud. The final day of the foal sale takes place on Friday and the sale will commence at 12pm.
