Big money Temps scores Un Temps Pour Tout enhanced his Cheltenham Festival claims after he ran out a comfortable winner of the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Ascot. The French import could not quite match the finishing speed of Zamdy Man over two miles in a Grade Two at Haydock four weeks ago on his British debut, but, upped in trip here, the David Pipe-trained five-year-old had far too many guns for the hat-trick-seeking Cole Harden. The 40-85 favourite, who was purchased for £450,000 after finishing third in a Grade One at Auteuil on his final start across the English Channel, clearly benefited from his Haydock sortie and galloped his three rivals into submission, taking it up before the penultimate flight, before running out an eased-down 16-length winner in the hands of Tom Scudamore. Pipe has a plethora of options in the three top novice hurdles at the Festival meeting next month, but Un Temps Pour Tout's main target is the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Prestbury Park. The Pond House handler said: "The second horse seems a decent prospect but he was entitled to win as he did on official ratings and did it well. He is just in the Neptune but we might enter him in a couple of handicaps. "It is just a case of finding the right race for the horse and for the owners, although I don't have any problem with horses from the yard taking each other on." Although the winner drifted right at a couple of his hurdles, Pipe feels Un Temps Pour Tout would be unfazed by going left-handed at Cheltenham. He said: "I don't think it will be any problem. He travelled well and although he has never run on anything better than this ground, I think he'll cope with better ground. "We'll just try and enjoy today before thinking about Cheltenham, but he is a lovely horse to have in the yard."
