Big money win for Ballydoyle at Doncaster

Aidan O'Brien's Reply (20-1) won the Weatherbys Insurance £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes under the trainer's son Joseph at Doncaster on Thursday.

The well-backed 9-4 favourite Bogart made most of the running but was swamped in the closing stages, firstly by Reply who ground down the market leader and held off the closers late on.

Mick Channon's Factory Time (33-1) stayed on to finish a half-length second with Charlie Hills' Letsgoroundagain (66-1) a head further back in third.

Moon Pearl finished fourth for Ralph Beckett.

Joseph O'Brien said: "The ground has been a little bit soft for him on his last two starts but it's good ground today and that helped.

"He wants better ground and did it nicely. He's a big-strong horse who is very genuine and tries very hard. He got a little lazy about four furlongs out but I was soon happy again."

Paddy Power say - After Joseph O'Brien won on Reply, he indicated his future lies over jumps. Paddy Power go 16/1 that he will be champion jumps jockey in Ireland in the next 5 seasons, 2011/12 to 2015/16 inclusive.
