Billy set for Cheltenham return Oliver Sherwood's Puffin Billy is likely to be a warm order in the opening Citipost Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham on Wednesday. Fifth in the Supreme at the Festival, the five-year-old tackles an extended two and a half miles for the first time in his career. Sherwood said: "He seems in grand form. You always worry at this time of year whether you're going to the well once too often, but he seems in good order. "His run in the Supreme is looking very good and if he hadn't made a mess of the second-last he'd have been even closer. "You're on a bit of a hiding to nothing with a horse with his rating, but we'll give it a go. Win, lose or draw, he'll be going out in the field after this. "Myself and the owner will talk about things over the next couple of months, but my gut feeling at this stage is that he'll go chasing next season." Elsewhere on a fascinating card for the time of year, RSA Chase sixth and seventh, Goulanes and Houblon Des Obeaux, cross paths again in the Weatherite Novices' Chase with Sire Collonges and Ackertac adding further spice to an interesting heat.
