Birch fine after National fall Gordon Elliott reports Silver Birch to be none the worse after he tipped up jumping Becher's on the second circuit in the John Smith's Grand National. The 12-year-old was travelling strongly at the head of affairs at the time, and Elliott believes he was in the process of running another massive race. "He's 100% this morning, thank God, and he was running a blinder before he came down," said the County Meath handler. "It's unfortunate as Robbie (Power) said he was travelling and jumping great up to that point but it's one of those things and the main thing is he still OK. "We'll see how we go but he could run in a new race at Perth at the end of the month or we might look at the La Touche Cup at Punchestown, it will be one or the other I would say."
