Bolger plots different routes for exciting pair Jim Bolger is eager to avoid pitching his promising juveniles Theobald and Verbal Dexterity against each other over the coming weeks. Theobald finished a fine second in the Group Three Anglesey Stakes over the weekend, where he was dropping to six and a half furlongs from the mile of his debut win, while Verbal Dexterity chased home Beckford in the Group Two Railway Stakes earlier in the month. Both colts are now on a similar route, but Bolger wants to make sure the duo do not take each other on unnecessarily. He told At The Races: "I was glad I ran him (Theobald), it'd been a few weeks since he ran and he just might have needed the run, so hopefully I'll have him spot on for the next day. "The trip was a bare minimum for him (Verbal Dexterity) as well, he was going back from seven to six. "I'd be keeping the two of them apart, so it will be the Tyros and Futurity, that sort of route, and then the National Stakes."
