Bolger talks of Saburo and Parish Hall Jim Bolger has earmarked a path for Saburo similar to that trod last season by champion juvenile Dawn Approach. Like Dawn Approach, the Sheikh Mohammed-owned Saburo, a son of Cape Cross, won the first two-year-old race of the season at the Curragh a month ago. Dawn Approach went on to win twice at Naas before landing the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, and Bolger also has the Royal meeting in mind for Saburo. "He's a good type of two-year-old and we're aiming him at Royal Ascot," said the Coolcullen handler. "He'll probably take a similar route to Ascot as Dawn Approach did last year." The High Chaparral European Breeders Fund Mooresbridge Stakes remains the likely next objective for Bolger's exciting four-year-old Parish Hall. A narrow winner of the Dewhurst Stakes on his final start as a juvenile, the Teofilo colt was forced to miss the entirety of his three-year-old year through injury. It is credit to his ability he managed to return from a year and a half off to win the Listed Alleged Stakes at the Curragh earlier this month and Bolger has some big targets in mind, starting off with the Mooresbridge on May 6. Bolger said "There is a race in the Curragh two weeks today (Mooresbridge Stakes) and that's the aim, but I still have to check to see if he'll have time to recover before the Tattersalls Gold Cup (May 26). "It was well documented on his comeback run that we were worried about soft ground, but he went through it very well. He didn't like it much, but he was brave and I was very happy with him, especially after such a long lay-off. "It was his first time on grass since the Dewhurst, so it was about 590 days without a run. He had a good old blow after the race and I'd like to think he'll improve a lot. "I think he'll stay a mile and a half, but you can never be certain until it happens. He's entered in the Coronation Cup, the King George and he's also in the Eclipse."
