Born To Sea to be treated for muscle injury Top juvenile colt Born To Sea, beaten by Nephrite in the Group 3 Killavullan Stakes, is to be treated for a muscle tear having suffered the injury in the race. Trainer John Oxx stated “Born To Sea was quite lame 20 minutes after the race and was noticeably stiff behind. He was a bit better this morning but it was obvious that he had a muscle injury and he will be undergoing treatment fro a few weeks for a muscle tear high up in his quarters.” Born To Sea was pushed out to a 14/1 chance for next year’s 2,000 Guineas following Sunday’s defeat.
