Bowerman on course for Good Friday Finals day Ado McGuinness reports Bowerman on course for the All-Weather Championship Finals day at Lingfield following his second in Cagnes-Sur-Mer last month. The six-year-old gelding carries the colours of the Total Recall Racing Club and has done really well since bought out of Roger Varian’s yard for 52,000 guineas at the Newmarket Sales last July. He won a conditions race at Gowran Park last autumn, and Ronan Whelan was also in the saddle when scoring twice at Dundalk earlier this year. The son of Dutch Art lost little in defeat when bidding to maintain the winning streak in the Listed Prix Saonois at Cagnes going down by just three quarters of a length to Volfango. “The plan is to go to Lingfield on Good Friday. He’s in the English Lincoln but we are going to take him out of it next week at the forfeit stage,” said the Lusk trainer. “He’s in cracking form and has recovered from his trip. We’re delighted with him.”
