Willie Mullins is excited by what the future holds for Augusta Kate and her celebrity connections.

She has created a huge impression in two starts to date, most recently at Navan - to the surprise of her trainer - and looks every bit as exciting as her dam, Feathard Lady, a top-class hurdler.

"She looks an exceptional mare," Mullins said of the four-year-old, who is owned by former footballer Alan Shearer and golfer Lee Westwood among others.

"She is very ordinary at home, doesn't show me anything on the gallops and it's great to have a horse that does it on the racetrack, they are always the best ones.

"Looking at the race you'd be happy to bring any of them home, to put in a performance like that against those well-bred mares, there were nine winners, that was a huge performance.

"Looking at her dam, who was unbeaten over hurdles, I can't wait until she goes hurdling.

"If she doesn't run again this year she's done enough but I expect we'll give her a crack at one of the good bumpers in the spring," the trainer said.
