Butterfly for Leopardstown

Leopardstown will next week play host to top-class fare, and the reappearance of Like-A-Butterfly will be of great interest to many.

J P McManus' mare, not seen in action since disappointing at the Punchestown Festival will run in the two-mile Evening Herald December Festival Hurdle, a race won by Istabraq last year.

According to the owner's racing manager, Frank Berry, she was late coming back into training this season and Sunday's race is the first opportunity to run.

Among the eleven acceptors for the event are Scottish Memories, Liss A Paoraigh and Davenport Milenium, who runs instead in the Pertemps Christmas Hurdle at Kempton.
