Mission Central proved too hot to handle for his rivals with a fine display in the concluding Sole Power Sprint Stakes at Naas.

The 5/4 favourite was soon disputing in the five furlong Listed event and moved to the front passing the two pole.

Ryan Moore asked the No Nay Never gelding for an effort inside the final furlong and he was soon in control, going on to post a length-and-a-half success over 40/1 shot Gazelle D’or.

It was a second course and distance win at this level this term for the winner.

Trainer Aidan O’Brien said afterwards:-

"It was a very quick time on that ground. He's progressing lovely.

“The plan was to go to the ‘King’s Stand’ with him. That's still the plan. I'm delighted with that.

“Quick ground would only help him because he's very fast. He travelled well through the race and kept going."

Paddy Power made the winner a 10/1 shot (from 25/1) for the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot.
