Blazing Khal is back cantering after being pulled up in the Grade 2 Boyne Hurdle at Navan earlier this month.

Charles Byrnes' prolific Grade 2 winner weakened into the straight and was pulled up before the final flight. Afterwards, the vet found Blazing Khal to be clinically abnormal and Byrnes commented that he thought the eight year-old gelding has a fibrillating heart.

Byrnes said: “He's been back cantering the last two days, but I've no update really.

"We'll monitor things for the next week or two. We've no plans to be honest, we'll see how it goes.”

Blazing Khal holds an entry in the Grade 1 Stayers' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
