Byron linbers up for Hong Kong Gordon Lord Byron delighted trainer Tom Hogan in a piece of work before racing at Dundalk on Friday evening. The globetrotting gelding, who was last seen finishing fourth in the Hong Kong Sprint in December, was partnered by regular jockey Wayne Lordan as he prepares for another trip to Sha Tin on March 15. "He just did what we wanted and he's in good shape. He did a mile on his own at a nice clip," said Hogan. "He worked with another horse here last Friday and will come back here next Friday to do another bit with another horse. He loves it up here and it seems to suit him. "He'll fly out of Stansted on March 4. It's his fifth time running in Hong Kong - he's nearly run more times there than he has at Dundalk!" Gordon Lord Byron won the Qipco British Champions Sprint at Ascot in October and has amassed over £1.5million in career earnings.
