Carried With Love successful on first start for Sweeney Carried With Love overcame the favourite Straight Home to take the honours in the mares' beginners' chase at Ballinrobe for Jonathan Sweeney. The 3/1 shot came through to dispute the lead three out and led on her own before the next. Straight Home still held every chance on the run-in, but Carried With Love stayed on well for Aidan Kelly to pass the post with a length and a quarter in hand. Straight Home was backed down to 11/8, but had to settle for second. She was some 11 lengths clear of third-placed Cooke's Lass at 28/1. Sweeney said: "I don't know how good a race it was, but she jumped well and I'm delighted. "She was a nice mare to get and JP (McManus) and Frank (Berry) said to take my time with her. "She was good and tough from the last. "I've better facilities now and am hoping that a better quality of horse will follow. "John Ormonde put in a five-furlong sand and fibre gallop, I've a proper schooling strip over almost three furlongs and another deep woodchip gallop of two furlongs, plus we've built a new barn. "I've about 25 horses in for the winter, and we can take more." This was her chasing debut on her first start for Sweeney having moved from Joseph O'Brien for whom she was victorious over flights in Cork. Additional reporting by Mark Nunan
