Trainer Declan Carroll is looking forward to launching a twin-assault on the Irish Derby meeting at the Curragh this weekend, with both Whozthecat and Swiftly Done set to make the journey to County Kildare.

Whozthecat will head for the 100,000 euro Paddy Power Sprint on Saturday in rude health, having come out on top in a thrilling Doncaster handicap earlier this month.

Swiftly Done has failed to trouble the judge in two starts this season, but Carroll is expecting better in Sunday's Irish Field Handicap over a mile, with 50,000 euro up for grabs.

"Everything is good with Whozthecat. We've kept him ticking over since Doncaster and we're looking forward to running him," said the East Yorkshire handler.

"It's a competitive race and it's not going to be easy, but it is a handicap at the end of the day and if the handicapper has got it right, they should all finish in a heap.

"We always thought he wanted firm ground, but he has gone well with a bit of cut, too, so I'm not too worried about it.

"We'd definitely prefer a bit of juice in the ground for Swiftly Done. If he gets his conditions, I hope he goes there with a decent chance.

"We went for the Lincoln with him on his first run, and I think it just came early enough in the season.

"Then we went to York the other week and the ground was just a bit on the fast side for him.

"It should be a good weekend. We'll go over there and enjoy it and hope for the best."
