Cecil Ross passes away Westmeath trainer Cecil Ross passed away yesterday at the Midlands Regional Hospital. Six Of Hearts was one of his best known charges in recent years, winning nine races including the Group Three Ballycorus Stakes. The following is the death notice on Rip.ie :- Cecil Ross - (Sonna, Slanemore, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath) November 30, 2015 (peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital; dearly loved husband and best friend of Carol and dear brother of Alan, Miriam (Gavin) and the late Olive (McCann) (recently deceased). Very sadly missed by his wife and family, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many good friends. MAY HE REST IN PEACE Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, Mullingar, on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm concluding with evening prayers. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Michael’s Church, Sonna, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private please.
