Ceroc earns first success over fences The Andy Slattery-trained Ceroc (9/4) was a convincing winner of the WTW Willis Handicap Chase. Ridden by jockey Philip Enright, the eight-year-old was a convincing 11-length winner having lead throughout the contest and a solid display of jumping , the Philip Rothwell-trained Dorans Law finishing second. Speaking after the race, jockey Philip Enright said: "He has been knocking on the door for ages and had always run well, being placed, and jumped from fence to fence today. I could hear something coming to me coming down the hill but I could hear the commentator saying there was nothing near, so I popped the last. "It is great for Kay (Russell, owner) and great to ride my first winner for the Slatterys." (Quotes by Tom Weekes)
