Chally Chute will aim to put the seal on a remarkable season in the Group 3 Loughbrown Stakes over an extended two-miles in the Curragh at the start of November.

The seven-year-old gelding switched to Ross O'Sullivan and has seen his mark rise to 112 courtesy of a Listed success at 125/1 in Roscommon in July and a runner-up berth in the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh last month.

O'Sullivan outlined that careful planning will be required in mapping out a campaign for next season due to his rating.

He said: "Makes sense (to go for Loughbrown Stakes), it is only Sunday week.

"He has been a great horse to have between the Listed race and that run (at the Curragh). If things had fallen right for him, he could have nearly won the Cesarewitch.

"Lovely horse and look forward to the Loughbrown. Big feet on him, (by) Fast Company, and wants soft ground.

"He's a horse that is best fresh, likes to be fresh between his runs."

On plans going forward, he added: "I'd say it is all kind of thrown up in the air now with the handicap thing gone completely out of it.

"We are going to have to sit down in the winter and make out a plan for spring.

"Space out his runs with kind of six to eight weeks between a run, he seems to be very, very good when he is spaced out which has worked well this year.

"You'd have to be (looking at big pots in England) - I'd say he will probably have to make hay in the spring and the autumn. Summertime, ground gets too quick.

"That's why the Ebor didn't work out for us this year, the ground was going to be too quick.

"It will take careful planning."

Chally Chute also won three times for his former trainer Michael Halford.
