Charlie O'Dwyer partnered Saint Lucie (11/2) to win Cork's BAR 1 Betting Handicap Hurdle over two miles, three furlongs for trainer Willie Mullins and owner Mrs Susannah Ricci.

The daughter of Great Pretender had been a creditable seventh in Cheltenham's Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys´ Handicap Hurdle when ridden by O'Dwyer.

Here, Saint Lucie made headway to move into contention at the second-last and was ridden to lead before the last. She stayed on strongly to post a three-and-a-quarter length victory over Rockymountainbleu

This was O'Dwyer's first winner for the multiple-times champion trainer and he reported "I'm delighted as Mr Mullins and Mr Ricci have been good to me and I've ridden this mare three times now.

"It is great to get a winner for them and I was hopeful coming here, as she ran a brilliant race in Cheltenham when we didn't get the cleanest of runs.

"I was hoping she would produce more than at Cheltenham and she has done that well. She was a touch keen today and it was a bit messy early on, but I crept my way through and she kept on well to the line.
