Cirrus Des Aigles turned in a masterclass from the front to account for Olympic Glory in the Prix d´Ispahan at Longchamp.

Corine Barande-Barbe's eight-year-old, who defeated Arc winner Treve on his last start, made virtually every yard of the running in the hands of Christophe Soumillon and though he was pressed by the revitalised Anodin in the closing stages, he was able to ease home inside the final 100 yards.

Pollyana finished third, while Olympic Glory was hard at work a couple of furlongs from home under Frankie Dettori on his first try over nine furlongs and folded meekly late on to finish only fourth in a race billed as a match between the big two.
