Clonmacash gains Dundalk compensation under Coen Unlucky in running over course and distance last time, the Ado McGuinness-trained Clonmacash gained some degree of compensation when winning the Put The Fun Into Fundraising At Dundalk Handicap. Reunited with Sam Coen, who had been in the saddle for four of the geldings previous five wins, the 9/1 chance broke better than is often the case, gaining the perfect position just behind the leaders. Initially short of room when making his challenge early in the straight, Coen came stands' side on the Mark Devlin and J Mackle and Skylark Racing Syndicate-owned five-year-old. Leading well over a furlong out, Clonmacash kept on well to score by half-a-length. Ado McGuinness said: "He doesn't always start well, but he does put his best foot forward late on. I do love that about him. "He's a very solid, fun horse and he was very unlucky here with Adam (Caffrey) last month. "That was a good race and Sam gets on well with him.
