Club heads dozen Irish runners in National The Midnight Club is one of 12 Irish-trained runners declared this morning for the John Smith's Grand National. The Wille Mullins-trained gelding, and the mount of Ruby Walsh, has been a clear favourite for the Aintree showpiece since winning the Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse in February. The only change to the Irish line-up is the inclusion of Adrian Maguire's Golden Kite, who benefits from the absence of the Tony Martin-trained Northern Alliance due to a stone bruise. Roll Along and Our Monty have also been taken out, with the result that Royal Rosa and Skippers Brig also get into the final 40 declared. Last year's winner Don't Push It heads the weights, while Always Waining, Faasel, Le Beau Bai and Giles Cross are the reserves should any of the confirmed runners defect before 9am tomorrow morning.
