Collins hoping rain comes for Aoife Tracey Collins is hoping that the ground eases enough at Naas so that she can run Italian import Aoife Alainn in the Blue Wind Stakes on Wednesday. The Dr Fong filly is due to make her first start for the Curragh handler after joining her string this season but unless the ground changes from the current description of firm she will have to look elsewhere. The four-year-old was a Group One winner in Italy last season when claiming the Premio Lydia Tesio on her final start at Capannelle. She beat useful Godolphin filly Antara then, who had previously been placed behind Midday in the Nassau Stakes. “She's very well but she won't run unless there is rain. Unfortunately the rain seems to be falling everywhere but here,” said Collins. “She seems in good form and is a nice filly to have in the yard. We'll look at a lot of the group races. She's in the Tattersalls Gold Cup on Guineas weekend and there is also a fillies group race there (Group 3 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes). “She has to carry a group one penalty so that's the races we'll be aiming her at. I just got her this year and she's a nice filly. She's one to look forward to this season.” Gary Carson
