Conor'salwaysright seals brace of winners for Rothwell Conor'salwaysright showed good improvement to get off the mark on his second start in the bumper at Sligo and brought up a double for trainer Philip Rothwell. He was up in trip to an extended two-and-a-quarter-miles after finishing fifth on debut at Roscommon. The four-year-old son of Kew Gardens attracted support for this assignment from 12/1 to 15/2. He came to challenge Run For Fun (2/1) into the straight and soon led narrowly for Joey Dunne. They pair fought a protracted battle, but Conor'salwaysright went on close home by three-parts of a length. Orderly Conduct, the 7/4 favourite, was just under four lengths away in third. Dunne said: "I rode him in Roscommon. He was very green and it took him a long time to get going, but he sprinted for the last two furlongs. "We said we'd step up him up in trip here, so he'd have a bit more time to find his feet, and I thought he had a good chance of being in the first two. "I was a bit wider than I wanted to be, but at least I was on a fresh strip of ground. "He stuck his head down well and galloped to the line, and I couldn't pull him up for ages, which is always a good sign." Rothwell also struck on the card with Calm Flight Ahead (25/1) in the Aidan Moffitt Memorial Handicap Hurdle. Additional reporting by Mark Nunan
