Cool Man Again to bounce back

Kilbeggan stages a seven race card on Friday where the first race is due off at 5.00pm.

Ground conditions have deteriorated somewhat due to the recent rain and soft ground horses should be followed at the meeting.

The second race on the card, the Cameron Willis Maiden Hurdle, may fall to Christy Roche´s Good Man Again.

The Downpatrick bumper winner looked to have every chance when brought down at the third last flight at Sligo on Wednesday. Ground conditions were very testing then and the son of Arctic Lord had put in a satisfactory round of jumping before exiting.

Obvious dangers to Good Man Again include consistent Mac Three and 97 rated Lord Ajus.

The Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase provides bookmakers with a better opportuntiy to make money than punters with quite a few horses holding every chance.

A hopeful choice is Andrew McNamara´s Banraft, a course and distance winner. The blinkered gelding has reached the frame on his last five starts although his latest efforts have been over a trip possibly short of his best.

He can reverse Tramore form with Totheroadyouvgone while course specialist Gale Star is another with solid claims.

The concluding bumper may see Perfect Day have the edge over Brave Castaway and Sorry Al, each placed on their latest bumper starts.

Perfect Day, a promising third at Naas earlier this month, now runs in owner/rider Barry Connell´s colours and punters can rely on Sheena Collins´s gelding here.
