Cooper targets Tingle Creek

Tom Cooper is looking to give Forpadydeplasterer one run before preparing his charge for a likely clash with Master Minded in the Tingle Creek at Sandown on December 5.

Having hit the crossbar in three consecutive Grade One races, the seven-year-old enjoyed his day in the sun with a narrow defeat of Kalahari King in the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham.

He will undoubtedly have more on his plate as he steps into open company in the coming months, but Cooper is looking forward to seeing Forpadydeplasterer return to the racecourse.

"He seems in great form and he could go to Naas on Saturday week for a two-mile chase for second-season novices," said Cooper.

"He obviously wants a bit of nice ground but, for his first run back, I'm not too bothered as we just want to get a run into him."

"He's a big, old-fashioned steeple chaser and, at the minute, we'll stick to two miles and take each race as it comes."

"All going well, we will just give him the one run and then have a go at the Tingle Creek at Sandown."
