Aidan O'Brien is set to take the wraps off what could be another exciting youngster as Ol' Man River makes his racecourse debut in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at the Curragh on Sunday.

The Montjeu colt is a beautifully bred youngster, being the third foal of top-class racemare Finsceal Beo, whose victories included the 1000 Guineas and the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

He clearly has the looks to match his heritage as MV Magnier went to 2,850,000 euros to secure him for Coolmore at Goffs in October 2013.

Joseph O'Brien takes the mount, with Ballydoyle also represented by the once-raced Torrey Pines (Seamie Heffernan) and fellow debutant Hans Holbein (Colm O'Donoghue).

Ol' Man River is a best-priced 33-1 for the Investec Derby, and Joseph Burke of RaceBets said: "At that price he's actually the joint fifth-favourite and Aidan O'Brien currently trains the first eight for Epsom in our market."

Of those to have run Sacrificial sets the standard on form, having finished second to the smart Raydara on his first outing and third to Parish Boy in what looked a good maiden at Naas last time out.
