Trainer Stewart Crawford has lodged an appeal with the Turf Club over the decision of the Navan stewards to allow the result to stand following an enquiry into interference after the running of the Future Champions INH Flat Race at the course last Sunday.

Crawford's charge Fine Rightly had received interference when finishing second in the race to the Willie Mullins trained Royal Caviar.

Patrick Mullins, the rider of Royal Caviar, was suspended for five-days for careless riding following the incident.

The Turf Club has also received an appeal from jockey Robbie Moran against the decision of the Downpatrick stewards to suspend him for four-days following his victory aboard Rasco in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle last Friday.

On that occasion the stewards found Moran to be in breach of Rule 10 and found that he had used his whip with excessive force and frequency, used it in the forehand position in front of the saddle and failed to give his mount time to respond.

A provisional date for both appeal hearings has been set for Monday 23rd December.
