Stuart Crawford completed a cross-country double at two of his ‘local’ racecourses today as the Larne-based trainer sent out Now Where Or When (12/1) to win Down Royal’s concluding Madri Excepcional Handicap Chase.

Crawford, who trains near northern Ireland’s principal ferry terminal, had earlier sent Ayiko along racing’s well-trodden Larne-to-Ayr route, where he scored a maiden hurdle success under jockey JJ Slevin.

At Down Royal, Crawford’s veteran 10-year-old chaser Now Where Or When raced prominently before producing a battling performance to register a first success of 2025 for jockey Darragh O’Keeffe.

Crawford led-in his winner Now Where Or When.
