The brave man's route reaped maximum dividends for Seven Towers (15/8) and Keith Donoghue in the Solar Generation Maiden Hurdle over an extended two-and-a-half-miles in Sligo.

The duo travelled on the inner and availed of a seam to close two out. Seven Towers soon tanked into the lead from Mindyourheadmike and began to crank the pressure up.

He was driven out on the run-in to put four and a quarter lengths on 50/1 Hadahi with Lengaruka a head away in third at 14/1.

This gave Donoghue and Gavin Cromwell a double on the card as they also landed the opener through Belladaball (10/3).

The jockey said: "He had good form, except for the last day (Wexford) when he was a bit disappointing.

"It was a weak race, but he couldn't have done it any better.

"Eoghan's horse (Finegan, Mindyourheadmike) was going left the whole way, and Jack (Kennedy, Kisuton Enki was on my outside, so I had no choice but to stay where I was down the inner. When the gap came, it meant I had to commit earlier than I wanted, but he did it well.

"He ran in point-to-points and is a good jumper, so hopefully he can keep progressing."
