Cromwell set to unleash Jer's at Fairyhouse Trainer Gavin Cromwell is ready to let Jer's Girl shoot for Grade One glory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday. An impressive winner of a Listed prize at Aintree in December, the four-year-old was then narrowly denied by subsequent Triumph Hurdle runner-up Apple's Jade at Leopardstown over Christmas. She was last seen finishing fifth in the Spring Juvenile Hurdle behind the likes of Footpad and Triumph hero Ivanovich Gorbatov. And though she holds an entry in the REA Grimes Property Consultants Juvenile Hurdle on Monday, Jer's Girl is set to take on her elders for the first time 24 hours earlier. Cromwell said: " We've yet to make a final decision, but at the moment we're leaning towards the race on Sunday. "She's not going to be a novice for much longer and it looks a good opportunity for her to win a Grade One. "We could wait until Aintree or Punchestown, but this looks the easier option."
