Crowd and betting both up at Leopardstown The weather was much kinder at Leopardstown this afternoon and punters flocked to the south Co. Dublin venue where the attendance was well up on the corresponding day 12 months ago. A total of 17,025 racegoers were in attendance compared with 13,031 in 2013, and betting figures were also well up. The bookmakers turnover smashed through the million euro barrier at €1,050,965, as against €869,736 last year, while the Tote aggregate was also up slightly at €434,440. The results over the past few days have not always been favourable but racegoers tomorrow can look forward to a Tote jackpot rollover of €43,025.
