Going updates Watering continues in use at Irish racecourses at present with some showers expected over the coming days. The ground at Leopardstown, ahead of Thursday’s fixture, is good to firm, good in places with selective watering being employed. The forecast is for a dry day today with temperatures of 17 degrees but there is a chance of showers from tomorrow, possibly heavy at times. Following 1mm of rain and watering, Killarney remains good on both Flat and jump courses, ahead of its August festival meeting ,which begins on Thursday. Showers are expected tomorrow, and into Thursday, with 1-3mm of rainfall expected. At the Curragh, ahead of Saturday’s meeting, the going is good to firm, good in places while Naas, which races on Sunday, is similarly good to firm, good in places, with the possibility of up to 7mm of rain prior to racing.
