Curtain Falls On Goodwood Season

Goodwood are set for their final meeting of 2005 on Sunday when the track stages an afternoon dedicated to the Countryside Alliance.

'We have got eight races, as we have one transferred from Salisbury,' said clerk of the course Seamus Buckley.

'We should have nice ground to finish off the season and they will be racing on fresh ground for the last six furlongs of the round course, as that strip hasn´t been used for six weeks.

'The going is good and while there is rain forecast on Friday, it should be a dry and bright day on Sunday when we have a lot going on, including fox hounds on display.'
