The Joseph O'Brien trained Dancing Destiny benefitted from the step up in trip when staying on best to win the Irish EBF Pat Smullen Stakes (Listed Race) at Naas.

Well beaten by the reopposing Florida Bay at Fairyhouse last month, the Fishdance Limited owned filly was sent off 5/1 to reverse that form.

Although the latter was in trouble early in the straight, the Jessica Harrington trained newcomer Sarah's Choice looked to have the race in safekeeping when asserting over a furlong out.

However, jockey Chris Hayes conjured up a strong late run from Dancing Destiny, getting to the front over 100 yards out to win by three-quarters-of-a-length.

Joseph O'Brien said: "This filly is very tough. Chris(Hayes) gave her a nice ride and, we're delighted. She obviously had a good run here over six(furlongs) and, she stepped up in trip today.

"We were actually going to ride her handy but Chris said the pace was on so he just wanted to give her a chance and, I thought it was a good move. She's a stakes winner now."
