Date change at Fairyhouse next year Due to a change in dates for the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sales next year (now on 25th & 26th September, 2012), Horse Racing Ireland has granted permission for the Fairyhouse meeting originally scheduled on Monday 17th September, 2012 to be transferred to Monday 24th September 2012. The reason for this alteration is to ensure that the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes will be run on the eve of the Sales. Acting General Manager of Fairyhouse Racecourse, Peter Roe said: “We are grateful that HRI has granted Fairyhouse permission to transfer our September 2012 fixture from Monday 17th to Monday 24th, the day before the start of the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sales, which will allow Tattersalls to continue to run the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes on the eve of the Sales.” Sales and Marketing Director of Tattersalls Ireland, Simon Kerins said: “Due to the late change in the European Sales schedule in 2012, the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale had to move a week later than was originally scheduled and we requested that the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes would remain on the day prior to the sale. "We appreciate and are grateful for the support and efforts of the HRI Fixtures committee and the management of Ballinrobe and Fairyhouse racecourses in facilitating this move”.
