Davison looking towards next year with Mooneista A Group 2 winner of the Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh last season, Mooneista has been unable to add to that victory this year and the Dandy Man filly may not be seen until 2023 now after being unable to land a blow on her latest outing at Longchamp. The four-year-old was narrowly beaten in both the Greenlands Stakes and this year's renewal of the Sapphire Stakes back at the Curragh this summer but was unplaced in last month's Flying Five and also in the Prix de l'Abbaye on Arc Day last Sunday. Speaking at Dundalk last night, trainer Jack Davison said: “She's great, she came out of it (the Abbaye) well. “It's a shame the ground went against us. The ground seemed semi-suitable when I got there but then the heavens opened. “We were there and I had to give my parents a good day out. She came home safe and sound and it was a great experience.” When asked if she could go to Ascot he added:- “It's unlikely, she's had a busy season. We decided to run last week and we have to do what's best for her now and put her away for the season.”
