Davy Crockett Awarded Victory in Stewards' Room The Willie Mullins-trained Davy Crockett (2/1) was awarded victory in the Stewards' Room in the Griffin Auctioneers Maiden after first past the post Shirzan was disqualified after rider Jessica O’Gorman weighed in light post-race. The one-time Supreme Novice Hurdle favourite was having his first start on the Flat but was a bumper winner in the past, and it was him, Solness and Shirzan involved in the finish. Although Shirzan was first past the post, giving rider O’Gorman a memorable double, it was a short-lived success as the stewards' inquiry went out, and just before the 17:55 contest, it was revealed that Shirzan was disqualified for weighing in light.
