De Bromhead blames ground for Tiara defeat Henry de Bromhead thought Special Tiara failed to handle the Cheltenham ground as he could finish only third in the Shloer Chase on Sunday. The nine-year-old was beaten 18 lengths by Fox Norton in the two-mile heat and De Bromhead felt the soft ground had gone against his charge. He said: "He seemed to struggle on the ground. "Noel said it was very tacky and he just seemed to struggle on it. I think the Tingle Creek will come too soon for him."
