De Bromhead seeks more Grade 1 glory Henry de Bromhead bids for British Grade Ones on successive weekends when Special Tiara goes for gold in the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown on Saturday. De Bromhead struck with Identity Thief in the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle last weekend and Special Tiara, who will be ridden by Noel Fehily, returns to the scene of his Celebration Chase victory back in the spring. Barry Geraghty will retain his partnership with Simonsig in the Tingle Creek. The news is slightly surprising given that Geraghty's boss, JP McManus, runs the Paul Nicholls-trained Mr Mole, who will be the mount of Sean Bowen. Nicky Henderson's Simonsig returned from a long absence at Aintree recently with a pleasing effort behind stablemate Bobs Worth over hurdles. Henderson also runs the Nico de Boinville-ridden Josses Hill, who had looked bound for the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on Sunday but has been rerouted to Sandown in pursuit of better ground. With ante-post favourite Un De Sceaux missing the race, the Nicholls-trained Vibrato Valtat, winner of the Haldon Gold Cup on his reappearance, is the new market leader. Mr Mole and Vibrato Valtat will aim to give Nicholls an eighth win in 11 years in the Grade One. Former winner Sire De Grugy, Somersby, runner-up for the last two seasons, and Third Intention complete the field.
