Death Of Damian Murphy Damian Murphy has died from injuries sustained in a fall in New South Wales, Australia last week.The 23-year-old jockey from Bishopsland in Kildare Town was formerly apprenticed to Kevin Prendergast on the Curragh.His mother and sister flew to Australia over the weekend and were at his bedside when his life-support machine was turned off on Sunday morning.A meeting has been arranged by the jockeys? association and friends of Damian for 8pm on Tuesday evening in Grace?s Pub in Kildare to help raise funds for the return of Damian?s body for burial in Kildare.
