Nine time winner For Bill, who build up an extraordinary winning run early in her career, has died giving birth to her first foal, by Beneficial.

Trained by Michael Winters, the daughter of Presenting won her opening two point to points before winning her initial five starts on the racecourse. She raced 19 times in total, won 11, including her two point to points, and was only ever out of the prizemoney once.

Her owner during her racing career Killarney based Pharmacist Donie Sheahan, today stated “For Bill was three weeks overdue with her foal by Beneficial and died from colic. Fortunately her colt foal survived though but it is very disappointing for her owners (Chepstow based Roland Crellin, who also bred Cue Card).”

For Bill, who has the unique distinction of gaining black-type in all jump codes, with a Listed Bumper win and Grade 3 wins over hurdles and fences, was sold for €70,000 in December 2011.
