Deauville an option for Make Believe Make Believe may bid to bounce back to form in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville in August following his disappointing run at Royal Ascot. Trainer Andre Fabre can find nothing wrong with the French 2000 Guineas winner, who trailed in last of the five starters behind Aidan O'Brien's dual Classic hero Gleneagles in the St James's Palace Stakes. Fabre is giving Make Believe, who had defeated his stablemate and subsequent French Derby winner New Bay in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains, time off before deciding where to place him next. "There is nothing wrong with him. He's just going to have a little break and then we'll see whether to run him in Deauville or somewhere," he said. "He's fine. It could have been the ground at Ascot. "There aren't many options at Deauville. The Jacques le Marois is possible."
