Demand for Kube tickets proves high Demand for tickets is high for The Kube Fundraiser for the Robbie McNamara Fund this Saturday, 30th January at the Killashee Hotel in Naas, Co Kildare at 7:30pm. The 36 contestants taking part include 20-time British champion National Hunt jockey AP McCoy, 10-time champion National Hunt jockey Ruby Walsh, 8-time Flat champion jockey Pat Smullen, record-breaking Flat Jockey, Joseph O’Brien, two-time champion Davy Russell, leading lady rider Katie Walsh, champion Point-to-Point rider Jamie Codd, champion amateur rider Patrick Mullins, Gigginstown House retained rider, Bryan Cooper along with rising stars of the weigh room Jonathan Burke, Adrian Heskin and Conor Hoban. The fundraiser is based on the television game show The Cube, where contestants complete timed challenges in a 4m x 4m x 4m perspex cube. At The Races presenter, Matt Chapman will act as MC. There will also be a charity auction on the night. Items up for sale include: Use of a ski chalet in Austria for a week (accommodates six people) Two county stand badges for the Aintree Grand National Two members badges including car parking for one day at Cheltenham Signed Ernie Els memorabilia from the McManus Pro-am A framed signed Kilkenny Jersey An Irish Rugby Jersey signed by Jamie Heaslip A silk painting Free admission to the 2016 7-day Listowel Festival for two people A framed signed picture of AP McCoy Schooling vouchers for Tipperary Racecourse Limerick-born jockey, Robbie, was paralysed from the waist down in a fall at Wexford Racecourse in April 2015 and spent five months in hospital and rehabilitation. All monies raised will go to the Robbie McNamara Fund which enables Robbie to continue with his ongoing medical and practical requirements. Martina Murphy Dunne event organiser, said: “We have already sold 500 tickets and the phone is still ringing - the response so far has been brilliant. Tickets will be available on the night but I would encourage everyone to buy your tickets in advance to guarantee your seat.
