Dettori wins Prix Morny Dabirsim, ridden by Frankie Dettori, won the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville. Dettori had the son of Hat Trick well-settled off the pace in midfield, before making his challenge on the stands rail. Christophe Ferland's charge quickened to the front with a furlong to run and scorched clear for a very impressive victory. Yann Barberot's Family One finished in second place after making most of the running, with Vladimir snatching third place from Freddie Head's Sofast near the line. Both British raiders Frederick Engels and Gatepost were well-beaten, with David Brown's Windsor Castle winner especially disappointing despite breaking well and having the run of the race.
