Patrick Mullins does not expect Irish Cesarewitch hero Digeanta to be campaigned over hurdles during the winter months.

The eight-year-old clinched his second victory of the Flat campaign in the prestigious Curragh handicap and is lightly raced over jumps, having won once and finished second in two starts.

However, Mullins, son of champion trainer Willie, feels the gelding is best suited by a sound surface.

He said: "He is a real good ground horse, so I don't think he'll be racing in the winter ground.

"There is no real plan at the moment. To win a race like the Irish Cesarewitch was fantastic."

Digeanta holds an entry in Sunday's TOTE November Handicap at Leopardstown ahead of Tuesday's confirmation stage.
