Distance alterations at Roscommon The Turf Club has announced that, due to ground conditions, there are to be some distance alterations to three races at the Roscommon fixture this Monday. The Frank Hannon Memorial Handicap Steeplechase has been reduced in distance by 110 yards to two miles, four and a half furlongs, while the Connolly’s Horse Care Cupes Handicap and the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden have also to been reduced by 110 yards to one mile, three and a half furlongs. In addition the safety limit has been reduced to 10 runners in both the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Colts and Geldings Maiden and the Roscommon Handicap. The ground at Roscommon is currently heavy.
