Dobbin Excited Ahead Of Turpin Bid Tony Dobbin is hoping the heavily-backed Turpin Green can give him a second win in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury tomorrow.He partnered the brilliant One Man for the late Gordon Richards in 1994 and now teams up with Turpin Green, trained by Richards' son Nicky, in the prestigious handicap chase.The seven-year-old sports the colours of Trevor Hemmings successfully carried by Trabolgan 12 months ago and heads the ante-post market.He showed his well-being by beating subsequent Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Exotic Dancer by 28 lengths in a three-horse affair at Carlisle earlier this month.Dobbin said: 'He's bouncing. There were only three runners at Carlisle and the other two have come out and won since, one of them being the Paddy Power Gold Cup.'He's come out it really well as he hasn't had a hard race and Nicky has kept him really fresh as well.'The fact that he's fresh and not had a hard race is a big plus for us.'He looks tremendously well and as though he has strengthened up.
